Today I went to Karitane Beach (Otago Coast, New Zealand) There is nothing that refreshes the mind and soul more than a beach in winter. In the bone chilling wind, with tingling ears and watering eyes and nobody other than sea birds to see you run or hear you scream at the wind.
It was so cold I could hardly hold the camera still, but it does not matter because simply being there was enough and any shot that is worth keeping is a bonus
Taken with Canon 450D, 17-85mm lens.

The waters look very rough and it seems like it would be very cold out there. So much has washed a shore. A very rugged landscape. Nice shot, Lyn.

You have really captured the winter mood. The offshore wind whipping the spray from the tops of the breakers really adds to the scene.

This is a wonderful capture of this winter sea. Those waves look quite daunting if you were caught in them. Lovely colours in this too. Well done!

I love the way the wind is blowing the spray from the waves back like that. Stunning work
