Lily Of The Valley (Convallaria majalis) also known as Ladder-to-Heaven, Jacob's Ladder.
A legend says that the scent of Lilyof-the-Valley attracts the nightingale from hedgerows, and leads him to choose his mate.
The fragrance is wonderful, but like many beautiful plants, this one is poisonous.

Taken early one morning in my garden with Canon 450D, 60mm macro lens.I did not get the focus right but think it might look ok

They look so lovely against the dark background Lyn. The soft focus makes them only prettier.

I think the focus has a soft look that goes with the lighting - I'm very allergic to this particular flower so I'll take your word on the scent.

It looks fine focus wise..Maybe f/8 would have widened it clarity wise..I like it like this anyway..R.

I think the focus is fine, Lyn...the softness seems quite fitting for these delicate little flowers...very pretty.

Perhaps switch to manual focus next time around if you haven't been using it for this shot. Still a nice capture of the blooms. Warm lighting and colours and a nice softness in the photo.
