Lyn, apparently the control tower has given permission for a take-off.
By viewing the choppy sea, it will be a tough mission, ☺ .

Although the present gallery for it is still 'birds', I expect that this will be finally an entry for the Wednesday B&W challenge (BWC), because it's a splendid B&W capture!

Lovely shot with all the gull some flying and some taking off or landing. I have noticed one gull of that type here that was ignored by other gulls although they were not aggressive towards him/her.
