He has been in my bin for quite a long time. The sad look on his face persuaded me to give him his moment of fame.
He is a Vervet Monkey, an Old World monkey native to Africa.
This one resides at Werribee Open Range Zoo, an African themed wild life park near Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, where I visited some yeas ago.

This is familiar to one I sometimes get from 'Wor-Lass'... :)

Well spotted.

This is the first time I have seen a Vervet monkey, what an intriguing face, nature is amazing, the fur and then the white outline and the dark face is quite stunning. This is a wonderful capture, bravo!

At first I thought you called it a Velvet Monkey. 😀
I had to laugh at the Owd Timer's reference to the "Wor-Lass."
It looks shy. Well captured.
It would be a good entry for the current contest.

Hard to say whether it is a sad look or a look of expectation. Nice and clear shot of this unusual (for me) monkey.

Lyn, first a tiny remark about Owd Bob's comment above: we know Bob's sense of humor, so we've to read his funny comment between the lines. Without his Wor-Lass Ann life would be worthless for him.

Think that the vervet monkey has a sad look in its eyes indeed. Think that it misses some company. A fine capture of a to me pretty rare monkey anyhow.
