Nice shot - he looks like he's having a ball. I think a bit more brightness would have been in order just to show more detail. Still, quite nice - he kind of makes you smile looking at him -
What an interesting subject and...in my opinion...what a difficult shot! Pan is associated with the woodsy areas and your background here is most appropriate. However, you don't want to lose Pan among the trees... so instead of putting this to black-and-white, you permitted the greenish tones of the statue to remain. Good decision! Now you are getting some clipping in the dark areas...there are many post-photo software utilities out there that will permit you to brighten just the dark areas to reveal detail (or, if there is clipping in the white areas to darken those areas a bit to reveal detail). Very nice job here.
I agree it is a bit dark, and some judicious cropping will decentralize the image and improve balance and impact.
Cropping from the Left border in to the center of the first large tree, and down from the top about halfway to the tip of the flute, accentuates the appearance of movement
