I took this shot at my cabin. I'd like to get up early some day when the sun is rising and take the same shot. When the sun is going down it makes the sky in this shot brighter then i think it would be when it is coming up, since it would be behind me instead. I'll probably be posting a similar shot soon from a different angle.

fantastic shot - composition and timing are spot on - a really atmospheric scene indeed.

Looking fab. I can imagine that it could turn out even more fabulous in a different lighting setting (i.e. in the morning) but then the light is more blue in the hues often. It would look better with the sky darker so I'm looking forward to seeing more like this.

Wow, that must have been a sloooow shutter! This reminds me of the steam that is given off when dry ice melts. Terrific!

Picture Purrrfect . A purrrfect world is what we all want, but, seems too unobtainable. oh well done Milo! You have created a wonderful image here using your technical skills! The rocks are so sharp yet the water is smooth as silk!! it makes a lovely contrast between the two! You must have used the slowest shutter speed to get this effect! brilliant! Patti

i like the leaves, although i agree, a sunrise would make the colours alot more vivid. hows the new tripod treating you? was this w/ the 10-20?

Very nice. Question - how long was the exposure? What was the F-Stop? I've tried to take similar shots and they just dont come together like this... but then again, this is a pretty high mark!

A perfect photo! Composition and exposure are perfect, and I love your choice in shutter speed. The effects it has on water is one of my favorites. 10/10

I downloaded a copy of this beautiful shot and adjusted the brightness up 5 and the contrast up 12 in Photoshop and sharpened the edges just a little and it helped with the light concern you had. All in all a great shot and I'm looking forward to your morning photo. Mornings and evenings are the best time to shoot most landscapes anyway.
