For some reason the tree in my backyard seems to wait until the snow pulls the leaves off. Every other tree has lost all of its leaves but this guy holds on. We had some fog and cold weather and needless to say some of that moister froze itself onto the leaves. Unfortunately my macro lens has been shipped off to Nikon for some service, so d_spin_9's 80-200mm had to do.

Wow this is nice. Seems like things are changing out there. Good dof and focus.

Classic motif and well executed capture. I'm sure you would have knocked your self out with your macro lens at hand, I know I would have if I had one to begin with. ^_^

You've caught that chilled to the bone, frozen in time feeling so well, and the clarity and composition point to this as a superior piece of photographic art. You've done an excellent job, regardless of your temporary lack of equipment :)PJ

i really like your colours. i also like the effect you're getting with that lens, it has an entirely different feel than your usual macros, the detail is somewhat less sharp, yet there is always some etheral qualities or something in the bokeh that always keep me staring for a while

You've captured and composed a more than adequate image of a fascinating subject we don't often get to see as posted. Very well done "sans" the lens you prefer.

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.

I really like this. The colors are wonderful and so is the composition and focus.

This is a beautiful image! I love the DOF, clarity, composition and colors. It looks like the leaves were dipped in sugar and you can see each granule. Diane

given you didn't have the lens you wanted, the photo still has perfect attributes
