Port Elizabeth, South Africa. I've been having some trouble with my HDR processing. Note the street lights have weird colors (purples, greens, and blues). I'm using CS4 to merge to HDR and tone mapping using Local Adaptation... anyone seen this happen before and know a way around it (happening to me in other HDR shots as well). Thanks!

I haven't actually noticed the purple, green and blue colors you mention, but I can honestly say this is a beautiful capture. I like it very much :)

I can't offer any suggestions on the problem you want to overcome but I would like to say this photo is basically a charmer. The time of day was just perfect for mingling remaining daylight with artificial lighting which makes a great effect.

Your unusual colors might be because of oversaturation. No software can handle an overly saturated area nicely. If your camera has RAW mode then this might help. I don't know your software use 8 or 16 bit's color space but 16 bits is obviously better for saturated areas. Though possibily your camera's sensor has 12 bits resolution anyway 16 bit process would help.

Nice shot.
