Ironically lightening although it appears to be a difficult photograph, really is more of just being there, set the camera for 30 second exposure and during that time you will capture everything that happens, focus on the farthest object and just remember to alter the � Stop according to the exposure conditions, if it is relatively light out then increase the depth of field to compensate for the increased exposure time, while it was brighter I stated with �22 and then as it became darker I reset at �4, the ISO was increased from 100 to 400.
The real trick is hoping that during the 30 seconds you get lucky and there is one major lightning strike, several makes for a confusing picture and some are just so �so, however some are spectacular.
