Ha Patti. I have to laugh the way you put that. You said you liked it, then you noticed it was mine. Weeeeeeeeeell. Now that you know it is mine, it will be used for a dart board. I ain't never.................................. wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Perfect title for this Pat. What a beautiful capture in the B&W too. I can't wait to see photos of this area in the spring with the trees and wildflowers blooming. Nicely photographed.
Woah! The B&W is just great for this. Also has a cold, wintery feel, too. Nice composition. It appears it took you home which is nice, so you can post some more. Thanks for sharing.
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to repose. Trust me on this one, I live there ............The Lion...................... MY GALLERY - The Magical Mystery Tour
When I saw this I knew I had to take a closer look. I live off of one of those dirt gravel roads & love to explore ones I have never taken before. This image really touched me & like how you did it in B / W. The image takes my eyes down the road looking to the left, then the right. One thing I know for sure when I travel these roads ... I always find my way home. A wonderful presentation Pat & an excellent capture.
Reminds me of when i was a young brat, out and about on rickety old bicycle. I like this Pat ! Pat you got your ears on, i say i like this one. Happy new Year my friend. Dwight.
The road looks like it goes on forever! What a wonderful road you stumbled upon! I did think of winter too on viewing this, but you said it was 70s. I like the way you have off centered the bridge so we catch sight of the river below. Great post, Pat.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Well now I'm worried bout ya' lass ... roamin' the countryside completely lost and in a panic. That John Denver lyric would have brought you "home to West Virginia" not exactly where "you belong" my precious Lady. Think you'd best get yourself a Hagstrom Map for those jaunts out of the Bayou you capture so well. Nice scene you have here ... a little drab in B&W ... could use a bit of color ... you know "Sunshine On My Shoulder" sort of thing. PS Guess who's back? ... didja' miss me? (Like the plague ... was not the answer I was hopin' for) HAPPY NEW YEAR PAT!!!
The effects work stunningly well, I think. And since you've obviously gotten home all right and were able to post this..unless you have a handheld thingy..aren't I all technologically jargoned today?..lol..I won't worry about you, even if muggsy is right about where that country road might have taken you..Pretty shot, Ms. Andre and have:

This just has to be one of your better posts my love!...It is superb, I love everything about it and I applaud you for the great effect you did to this!....The perspective to that road is giving us a 'where does it go' feeling!.....Did you manage to find your way back home then?.....
Great clarity on the details, Pat, the gravel on the road, the wood in the guard rails, the shimmer of the water. And the placement and angle of the road in your photo, excellent!
Hi Pat.
I love this haunting evocotive shot !! It certainly inspires my imagination. I may not get chance to view all your recent work Pat, so from me and mine, to you & yours, have a Happy, Healthy and Loving New Year.

Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

As PJ said you must have been on the right road for home, unless you found one of those WiFi Hotspots - Eh? oh don't ask me, I just read it in a magazine;o)
This is a fabulous composition and it works just great in B&W, brings out all the shapes, textures and tones wonderfully. Probably wouldn't have half the impact in colour [though I wouldn't mind a peek just to see?] I'm a bit of a sissy and stick to 'safe' colour and have great admiration for those who aren't afraid of using B&W and have the skill and judgement of knowing WHEN to use it. Faved for sure.
Cheers,
Steve.
