I had never seen this red kind of dragon-fly which was fiercely garding it's territory in my garden against it's more common blue dragon neighbours. Just after I had it photographed, I became aware of its true beauty.

Absolutley beautiful, the needles on the tree are so green and shiny. They almost look waxed.. That dragonfly is incredable.. It looks rather large.. We have red ones here but they are very small compared to the blue and green ones..

Incredible photograph, must be seen full size to appreciate the detail in this shot. What drew me in was the evergreen and once full size, just amazing. Top marks Paul, a wonderful capture.

Hi Paul, I see you've managed to capture a beautiful creature again. Never seen a dragonfly this color before neither. Tried to get a different one on memory stick yesterday, but he got away. This is pretty as a picture.

After all this time and with such a high C-index, I'm surprised to have gotten this in the voting booth, Paul. It's a well done image and I just wanted to tell you so. - Patty
