As a kid, I was always fascinated with the colors in the marbles...seen here blown up on my monitor, even more so...it sure looks like a storm swirling around inside that glass...intriguing image and nice gift.:Pat.
I agree with Pat. It does look like a storm is brewing. This takes me back to my grade school days when I used to play marbles all the way to school, at recess and then all the way home. I love the reflection and the simple yet creative concept.
Going barefoot is the gentlest way of walking, and can symbolize a way of living. It's the feeling of enjoyment beneath our toes...it removes the barrier between us and nature...(AdeleCoombs,Barefoot

I was a fan of your first marble experiment, and I'm a fan of this one too. Really like the water on the bottom, great touch. Fantastic job again, and high marks once again.
There's an emptiness inside her and she'd do anything to fill it in. Though it's red blood bleeding from her now, it's more like cold blue ice in her heart. She feels like kicking out all the windows and setting fire to this life. She could change everything about her using colors bold and bright, but all the colors mix together...to grey. ~*DaveMatthewsBand*~
I agree with stormdancer. This makes a much stonger image. Your macro photography really stands out in a more natural light setting. Very creative shot, Paul, high marks from me!
I like it, there is an excellent level of detail and clarity, and the exposure is perfect. Always like to see a simple subject done so they look like the most complicated. Marble-ous!
HE PAUL
I am honored with my name on this more then magnificent shot
But I am glad I was right...you could do better.
Yesterday i tried some shots with marbles myself and must admit its hard to get them right.
Its for sure a difficult subject.
But what you made out of it...i am not sure, but this is far beyond my expectations..evn far beyond my imagination of what you can do with this subject.
So Paul for you a thousend times WOWWWWW.
and of course 10/10.
And this shows how challenge can leed to better and in this case marvelous work.
I hope in time you will explain me how you did this.
yeah you must be using a macro lens, becuase i couldn't get a picture that close with my sigma lens that goes to 1/2 life size. really cool shot, the bottom of the marbles is cool and you did a great job with the lighting.
Yes, as with all the other preceding comments, I would have to agree ... a very very good image that you have created.
'But' ... sorry, I don't like using this word, it tends to dismiss what was said prior to ... maybe 'however' is better ... However, why did you position the marbles in liquid? I am curious. Did you try without? I am wondering if the result is or would be too stark and contrasting ... or 'too' something. As is, the marbles and foreground, et al, do work and blend well together. I am, as I said curious as to how the image would change without the presence of the liquid.
That said, 'however,' I do like your photos very much and this one still is a standout.
Picture Purrrfect .
A purrrfect world is what we all want, but, seems too unobtainable. If I've viewed and commented on your post, and you liked my remarks then NO THANKS is needed...just getting to see your wonderful work is thanks enough for me!!
Also BIG thanks to all who check out my work!! I appreciate any and all comments & feedback!!
