At day at the zoo with my kids and camera resulted in some nice shots, which I may or may not show you. It all depends on how your comments to these first two shots are..
Please let me know if you are interested!
Very nice shot. Did you cut the side out to make it all black or was that achieved with the camera. If you cut it out it looks to me like you did an excellent job. If you did get it with the camera how did you go about doing that?
"A piece of toast with butter always lands butter side down, and a cat always lands on its feet. What happens if a piece of toast is tied butter side down to the back of a cat? Does it perpetually hover above the ground in indecision when dropped?"

I think the pose and the black background will make this one an instant classic. I'm drawn to the edges where the mane fades into the darkness, it really shows its softness and texture. That's the look of a king.
This is wonderful Paul...because there are NO cages showing...he looks content...this is just lovely....right into my very favorites....I love the dark background...that can also be done...when its not there, in PSP...this King is so very pretty!!!
Going barefoot is the gentlest way of walking, and can symbolize a way of living. It's the feeling of enjoyment beneath our toes...it removes the barrier between us and nature...(AdeleCoombs,Barefoot

Who is the King now;-) I agree 100% with Keifer. His left eye is bang on the golden rule of thirds. The contrast level is great and really shows off the features in his face. Great work:-)
What a fantastic photograph! I thought it was a painting at first. Plus, as a wallpaper, it's in the perfect place - doesn't get covered by icons. It's almost as if he's looking at them. Great work!

The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was, is lost, for none now live who remember it. -Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring
the first moment i saw this one, i immediately put it as my wallpaper. this one is too damn good, you never know, maybe it'll go away somehow :D so, here it is, safe and on my desktop ;o)
i love darker wallpapers and the background is simply perfect. i love the combination with the black colour, it always makes the images look good :) and leaves room for icons, heheh ;)
everything is marvellous, his strong look, position, beautiful contrast and focus.. oh, and tremendous details! you've definitely deserved all the highest marks and my favourites. and thank you for sharing this breathtaking image with us!
A very beautiful animal. Or should I say handsome? In any case he truly is the Lion King. In a very strange coincidence, I happened to be listening to the "Lion King" soundtrack when I saw the pic. Weird!
Every mammel on the planet develops a natural balance or a certain equalibrium with the world around them but we humans do not, we move to an area and we multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way we can survive is to spread to another area. There is only one other organism on this planet that follows the same pattern, a virus. Human beings in the intrest of the planet are a desiese a cancer of this eath. (Kinda makes you proud dosen't it)
Oh Paul, please grace us with more of your artistic talents. You know I am so into wild animals. I saved this to my favorites. Oh pretty please......huggy kissy and cookies for you.
Well I'm a little late, but I really like the shot. He seems more than a little majestic doesn't he? Anyway if all your photos are like this one I'll be putting them in my special library.
