I was at a bird show and there was a glasshouse with these birds flying around freely. You could buy some seeds to feed the birds. At one point, my wife held 5 of these Loris on each arm. Very nice birds, they really seemed to enjoy all the attention.

The lines in the feathers are awesome, Paul. I like the fuzzy background too. Good job :-)

I love this shot. You managed to separate him from everything around and behind, so he stands out alone and impossible to ignore. I guess the reason bits of him are out of focus is the use of a wide aperture, but it's fairly sharp all round, and the feathers are drop-dead gogeous.

The colours and textures of those feathers are so well captured, the green ones especially. If only it was a little more in focus this would get a 10.

Thank you for this great pic. My daughter owns one of these beautiful Rainbow Lorikeets, and he is a real character, having gone to my daughter as a baby still sleeping on the floor of the cage. He drinks her coffee (as well as having his own fruits, etc. that he needs), consumes any herbs she tries to grow in her garden, calls to the other Rainbow Lorikeets in the area, who visit him regularly, even lets them play with his toys, until he reckons they've had enough fun, then drives them off....like I said, a real character. Thanks again for the pic.
