The details of the ripples on the sand are awesome. And... no Dakar rally there... ;-)

This is really beautiful: the warm colors and the pattern of the sand ... Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! Verena, this is at the Island of Gran Canaria. That's about 3750 miles from where I normally dwell.

If you can't find the words, you may as well shoot it...

Beautiful shot Paul... perfect capture of the texture of the sand, the sky, sea and dunes compliment each other perfectly, the sky and sea bring out the gorgeous colour of the sand... wonderful

Isn't Mother Nature amazing? She has some awesome curves and colors to go over them :))
This is one heck of a capture Paul. The designs in the dunes are amazing and you shot them and caught the detail with your camera lens. The low-lying clouds add some depth and drama to an already dramatic image. The blue of the sky shows off the color of the dunes just perfectly (not that I would expect any less :)) This goes right into my favorites folder on my harddrive as well as in my caedes.net screensaver slideshow folder. I will be able to gaze longingly at this image as much as I want! Well done. Thank you ;~)

Brilliant colours and patterns. It looks like I can see some man-made objects near the edge of the water. 'Ideally' I would try to avoid those to give the picture a better sense of unspoilt space and reference to only natures influences. Great capture though !!
