I was sitting in a restaurant which was balanced on a cliff with this view of the mountains and valley. Now, those clouds were high in the sky during my first course of dinner, but to my surprise they started to descend as each following course was served! Finally the clouds came down to rest on the mountain and I decided to following their example. But before I did I shot this photo. Hope you can enjoy it like I did from that restaurant.

Yesterday's history. Tomorrow's a mystery. Today's a gift. That's why it's called the present.

This is an excellent capture Paul of what one drives through near the top of mountains! The worse I drove in was to Mount Rushmore at night. The couds were sound asleep then :)
You are very observant to be dining and to be watching the clouds and seeing a photo opportunity all at the same time! Once again, you have hig quality, color, clarity and composition. This fell right into my favorites folder on my harddrive. Thanks for taking the time to post it. Hope your nap was good too! :~)

It looks like its rolling in a wave over the peaks towards the town. Nice that you had something to do while waiting on the shot. Very dramatic

Great capture. It must have been amazing watching these clouds fall lower and lower. Nice job.

amazing shot, perfectly timed. would like to see it w/out the dark shadow in the corner. you have enough mountains to feel the immenseness of them, but not so much that you lose the real stunner… the clouds stopping off for a quick siesta 8•)

One man sees things and says "why?", but I dream things that never were and say "why not?"

This picture makes me feel like I could just touch the clouds. This is framed perfectly so we can see really see the mountains and the valley below. I wish I could fly out into the valley and touch the clouds!
Fantastic!

Everyone takes better pictures than me, I'm determined to change that.
