Very nicely presented . The colors just look so soft and delicate as the flowers themselves. Beautiful debut. Thanks so much for posting.

Hi Mr. Paul, my goodness, these gorgeous yellow beauties leave nothing to be desired! It is all here, everything that represents marvelous photography! Of course, having a delightful subject such as these precious gems, and in the hands of an expert, well seasoned photographer, what more could be required? The softness of the flowers are so dreamy and so appealing, it is hard to turn one' eye from them! You do a great job, Sir Paul! I only hope I can learn how to effect the soft edge someday! You got my vote Paul!! Sincerely, Marilyn

Thanks!
For your info, the background is not manipulated, it is actually dark blue, which turns black due to the contrast. The flower is in the light, the background in complete shadow.
The weather was overcast, so not even a bit of sun in this photo.
The most important thing in this shot with f36 and 4 second exposure is to get rid of false light entering the lense. So I fixed the camera and shielded the lense. The soft effect that remains is actually caused by the extreme close up. You see, I did not use a macro lens and this was actually "over the limit" for the lens I used.

What a delightful spring flower image Paul. I am drawn to the way the three daffodils are....one is rather straight at us, the other is with the blossom facing the left and my favorite is the one with the blossom head facing upward as if seeking the sun or light. I know this is not manipulated, but the appearance is of the blossoms is awesome. I am drawn to the softness that you managed here also Paul. It has an appeal to it that makes me what to keep staring at it, so I am going to download it into my favorites folder so I can stare at it as much as I want!! Thank you for posting :~)

Yet again one of your photographs has joined my collection of wallpapers. It made me think and I did a quick check - I regularly change the wallpaper, and in the last month almost every one has been one of yours! Keep up the good work - you are one of (if not THE) best on the site.
