Found this farm house in the Ballenberg open air museum, Switzerland. With 100 original century-old buildings from all over Switzerland, "historical" gardens and fields, demonstrations of typical crafts, many special events and 250 native farmyard animals Ballenberg creates a vivid impression of rural life in bygone days. Ballenberg is in fact absolutely unique. It is a "must see" when you come to central Swiss. Here is a link to their website: http://www.ballenberg.ch/e/index_bb_500.html

But Paul, we don't need to visit Switzerland, as long as we have you and Hans! Thanks for another great photo (and the link). PS: I would like to hear the answer to Ted's question.

Wonderful and incredible farm house.
If all the 100 looks like this, then it's really a "must see"
In Alsace, we have a similar open air museum with 75 original old buildings coming from all over Alsace.

This is just fabulous, Paul. Makes me wish I lived back then. Of course, I probably wouldn't have had the good fortune to live in this house though. lol Wonderful post!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Paul,
Great shot of some amazing architecture, never seen a building with that style before, it seems to suggest a whole cultural view I've never come across previously. Fascinating.

Darth Vader's house? Impressive architecture. Maintaining it would take a major commitment.
