This image goes straight into my special 'horse folder'. I used the word 'special' because this folder is meant for one of my grandsons (Victor). Victor is fond of horses and every time he visits us, his first question always is: "Can we go to your computer 'Opa' to watch your new 'horse images'?" Thanks Paul for this wonderful image (think on behalf of Victor too).
Regards, Cornelius.
Dear Lord in heaven, it doesn't get any better than that. That capture is simply the best I have ever seen of a horse (pony).
how did you do the white background? What camera do you have, I forget. What a keep-pah!
Pat
the horse's face is so sweet. the post processing is incredible. doing the background in white while preserving the details of the mane seems like it would have been impossible. i'd really like to have a hint as to how you do it.
sorry if i don't comment on each of your pictures. to those of you who comment so often, i can't imagine how you get it done! i for one am always extremely grateful for the kind comments and suggestions that you make.

Thanks all of you!
about that post processing: the only thing that I touched here is a small patch of green just below the horse's mouth. As big as a thumbnail. For the rest it's straight out of the camera. You see the horse was standing in the shade on a sunny day. Therefore the background is very much over exposed. It turned out completetly white.
So, apart from the shots exposure, it was an easy delivery...
Paul
Well Paul it works a treat, forces us to really LOOK at the pony rather than just "enjoy" the image and that kind of deep looking is a whole other kind of enjoyment. Thanks for sharing something original.

Beautiful animal ... and you've captured every bit of that beauty with this wonderful post. The pose you present is absolutely perfect. The plain white background leaves nothing to focus on but this magnificient subject. Great job.
We as artists look upon the world in many different languages. There are those of us who see sadness, pain, suffering. But if we do not occasionally look and see that there is love and laughter, what's the point of looking at all?
