Large Red Damselfly. Maybe not the best of photos but there is something special here. This is not an ordnairy macro. Instead I used a 300mm + 1.4 teleconverter. That is 420mm effectively! So I was standing 2 meters away. I don't about you, but I never considered that possible.

What a outstanding shot, love the colours and detail for some of my shot's i use a 70mm by 300mm it let me get a close shot with out scareing all casting a shadow, Well done great shot.

I love the detail! From the hairs on the legs to the veins in

I tried something similar with a 300mm lens, although I wasn't trying to shoot something that moves and I gave up after maybe 30 seconds!!
