If it is too dark, let me know, I can post a brighter image of it. I took several shots of it at slower shutter speeds, but I thought they might be too bright.

Is this a sand sculputre? or something else. Whatever it is, it's very good. Nice shot the dark around the edges adds to it. Well done. Cheers. Al.

If toast always lands butter-side down, and cats always land on their feet, what happens if you strap toast on the back of a cat and drop it?

I agree with the others. The texture sure makes it look like sand. Nicely done.

Excellent capture and one hell of a cool desktop! I think the light/contrast is what helps make this such a standout image. Kudos.

I am not sure how it was made, but I suspect the outer layer is similar to stucco.
I thought this was a good dramatic angle. I am glad you all liked it. I had to make a late night excursion to take this shot. Thanks for the views and votes. :c)

The work of art may have a moral effect, but to demand moral purpose from an artist is to make him ruin his work. (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - 1832)

This is way cool Tom. Must be viewed at full size to get the full dramatic effect! At least IMHO! What a great piece of work captured perfectly by our very own great photographer! Than you.

Agree with Tracy. It's a good subjet to study the light effects. Well done, Tom :-)

The sculpture and the shot are of tremendous quality. The fade to black is excellent. Reminds me of Silver Surfer surfing the universe. Great job
