A photo I took after the hurricanes. Taken on 10-7-04 in Cocoa Beach. The pattern in the sand reminds me of a magnification of human finger tips. Mother Nature left her mark on the beach in a big way with the three storms. Must be seen at full size to appreciate.

The creation of these tight unbroken lines boggles the mind. The grass adds the perfect amount of interest. Wonderful phenomenon you've found here and the only beautiful image I've see comming out of the storm season

I don't have a solution, but I admire the problem.

Very impressive capture of the ripple pattern and the forms and shadows of the grass. The exposure is right on as well.

Sometimes the beauty of a scene is in it's intricate simplicity. I feel this image makes a great desktop wallpaper, with plenty of room for icons. I am glad you all enjoy this image, I went through my images that I captured in the last month or so and decided to post this one first. Looks like I made a good call. :c)

The work of art may have a moral effect, but to demand moral purpose from an artist is to make him ruin his work. (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - 1832)

Great shot Tom...they remind me of sundials the way the shadow is casted in the ripples;-)

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

Wonder what this would be like in black and white? It's very fragile and fine.
