I wanna know one thing...did Sneaky Snake slurp up any of your rootbeer? You know, come to think of it, just how close did this nosey creature get for you to capture this flick? My camera would have gotton a 'drop test" the moment I saw that thing. Good work on your part. I'm outa heah!

Nicely captured Tom. Hope it wasn't looking over your shoulder. I had a similar encounter with one myself a few years ago. When I came up out of the pool I had one "sitting up" looking at me and like you I didn't share either. Wonderful composition and DOF.
How could anyone possibly be afraid of this little cutie? I personally am not afraid of snakes and think they're beautiful in their own unique way. You've captured this little one brilliantly! The colors, the light and shadows, and his little eyes. Just adorable!
I like this alot. You know what would be a hoot. If for some way you could superimpose mr eds mouth on his face. Wide open with teeth and a big kiniving smile. You captured this well. Great job. Tracey
Okay Tom, I really don't like snakes at all. I mean I really don't, but I do know a good capture when I see one and you have got it right here!! Your depth of field is great as well as the intensity of the color of the leaves just makes the snake appear even more bolder than it already was...I would have been gone so fast, all anyone would have seen was a streak of light...sort of like a shooting star!!! I wouldn't even have stayed around to see if it was "harmless" or not! They are not harmless if you have a heart attack when you see them are they? ......... lolol....anyway, good one here. Great detail and with the focus being on just the head, the viewer is forced *shaking* to look at the snake!!! Thank you for sharing this with us.................I think :~)
