Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to repose. Trust me on this one, I live there ............The Lion...................... MY GALLERY - The Magical Mystery Tour
Great one Tom, I can't wait till spring when I can get some of these, and I will be asking you for advice since you post the best lightning photos on Caedes.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Tom I have never gotten an image of a lightning strike that was worth keeping. This one is not only a keeper but an image that deserves a 10, if I had it in my Voting Booth.
lightning always amazes me, and I'm always glad to watch a good lightning storm, but where I live there aren't many of those, so thanks for sharing this incredible shot, it does deserve a 10!
This is the kind of shot I was trying for the entire last summer! I'm am turning sooooo GREEN! This is a killer shot and I'd give anything to emulate it. How did you do it? Extra long exposure? Fast exposure and good reflexes? This shot is going to get a ten if I get it in the booth. It deserves it. :-)
For in and out, above, about, below,
'Tis nothing but a Magic Shadow-show,
Play'd in a Box whose Candle is the Sun,
Round which we Phantom Figures come and go.

this is a very powerful image.you are treated to some wonderful pyrotechnics down there in florida aren't you?here in bristol,u.k. things are more sedate!
Hey there Mister Madman, wat'cha know that I don't know
Tell me some crazy stories, let me know who runs this show
Glassy-eyed and laughing, he turns and walks away
Tell me what made you that way
Saw this in the VB. The man with the flaming head caught my attention with this Marvel. One of ... IF NOT ... the best lightening captures I've had the priviledge to view. Truly great photography. The low level clouds between lens and bolt adds to it being extraordinary in my opinion.
Thanks for displaying an awesome shot of God's power! Beautiful! I love it. Great color, great lighting, great focus and placement. Right into my favorites!
Caiden.
P.S. If you have a chance, take a look at my gallery. None of mine are as good as this, but I would appreciate any comments, criticisms, or advice you might have for me. Have a great day!
I am glad to admire your powerful photo from a distance, sitting in front of my computer, feeling warm and cosy, lol. This truly is an extraordinary capture. Would you be so kind and teach us about your camera settings once you took the photo? What a stunner!
great shot, Tom. lightning has always been a favorite of mine. I particularly like the depth and contrast here. now go put the lightning back on the beach where you took it from ;-)
