I'm always amazed how folks are able to give names to the critters and flowers that I find. I can barely remember the names of people I've met this morning.
And a neon blue, at that. The colors of these guys, along with the fact that they eat mosquitos, make them my favorite insect, tied with a mantis. Up to 6 million years ago dragonflies had wingspans of up to 6 feet! Imagine trying to get a shot of one of those?

Good capture on this, colors are attractive, details come through perfectly. Like the simplicity of the background, adds to the photo. My grandson provided a 40 minute lecture on dragonflies, after that I was totally impressed with these insects.
