I was experimenting with my L16's new low-light feature. This image was caught just in the last lights of sundown. You can see a few distant home lights reflected in the water. I loved how it came out with different bands of color. Herons are great to photograph in low light because they tend not to move.

Oh, hell, and I thought your previous heron photo was good... this is exceptional! I can only assume the sky above had bands of clouds and clearings. That being said, capturing only the reflection really makes that heron silhouette a killer. Wow, Jeff, this is one of those rare times I actually miss the old c-index method of assigning numerical quality to an image. In my eye this is a 100.
