The original color version looked odd as some trees had lost their leaves and some were yellow-green. But switching to black and white balanced the image beautifully, allowing the focus to be on the textures and geese.
The gentle diagonal created by the (flooded?) tree line is a nice effect, leading the line of geese towards the center, and the monochromatic treatment lends a aesthetic character. We do not see enough black & white here at Caedes, so thanks for that, Jeff.
