The day after I got into trouble for missing the birthday party, I showed that I had learned my lesson by heading out into the sticks again. By all accounts, I am a slow learner. In my defense, I did get back before sunset this time.

All constructive comments are much appreciated.

Stunning Fall colors, Roger. On former occasions I've said that with respect of the Fall foliage in my area, we can't compete with those on the other (west) side of the big pond. I was told that the reason was different climate conditions. It's anyhow a terrific shot, and a valuable addition to your Iowa series.

This is really gorgeous Roger - I like the how you left some of the grasses in the foreground.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Terrific Fall capture, could have been in Iowa, not the sticks part though.
