Referring to the narrative of the original version, it's nice to see that this 'old friend' from you and mine has let made a B&W portrait. With respect to any resemblance from my side, I must say that I'm two years older now while this captain seems - despite his one leg and eye - to have an eternal youth, lol.

I missed the original post, but I actually like this better in B&W. I love how the parrot looks like he is leaning in to give the captain some advice! lol
The detail is amazing: the lines on his face, the way his beard is tied, the pattern on the "wooden" leg, the wrinkles on his coat...
Lighting is great!
Amazing artwork and wonderful capture. I really like this!!
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Oh my goodness, such amazing detail in this sand sculpture, Fabulous capture and the lighting is perfect. I wonder how long it took them to build this. A Big wow to the artist
B/W suits it well.
