Your waterways sure are busy with lots of various boats and ships...another big one here...great capture and I do like the glistening light on the water.

I didn't realize ships had ACL ( Anterior Cruciate Ligament-one of the major ligaments in knee )injuries Raj. No wonder it is out of commission. I bet it limped into port.
Great shot and I am enjoying what you are seeing from the Ferryboat.

I've read Bob's question above.
Raj, allow me to answer this question.

I've read some reasons for being a 'she'. Because some of these reasons may be 'woman unfriendly', I like to express that these aren't my quotes. I show them only because of the jokingly character:
-There is always a lot of fuss about her;
-A team of men usually walks around her;
-She has a waist;
-It takes a lot of paint to make her look decent;
-It's not the initial costs that break you, but the maintenance;
-She can be decorated and has a man as a companion (mate);
-You need an experienced man to handle her properly, and without a man at the helm she is absolutely impossible to control;
-She is unpredictable, moody and sometimes difficult to get along with;
-She shows her top and hides her bottom;
-Once in the port, she goes straight for the men.

And last but not least my personal reason: simply because she has to be treated as a lady! (😄) !

Good and interesting capture of this LADY!

ACL surgery required here? Your harbor and river are busy places.

She's a she because she is big and strong and can overcome rough times.
I do like Cornelius's reasons though except the needing a man to control her. There are many Female Commanding Officers now :) CLICK HERE for one.

Super photo of this fine vessel Raj - she is a beauty

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Magnificent vessel, Raj, captured perfectly. I would really love to have been able to see the works being done on this container ship, I imagine it would boggle the mind to view the process of repairing and painting.
