Some of you have seen this building before. This is the port pilot Station. The river pilots bring the ship up the river then they hand over to the port pilot who assists the captain to bring the ship to its allocated berth.

This is the turning point of our trip. One more image showing the starting point and this trip is over.

---Some of you have seen this building before---

Are you sure, Raj? ( 😜 !)
Just kidding of course, because this 'Lotsenhaus Seemannshöft' is a well known landmark in the Hamburg area.

I can remember the water level indicator just above the clock at a side wall of this tower, showing the water level over/under sea chart zero in digits. Black digits indicate a water level over sea chart zero, while a level under sea chart zero is shown with red digits.

Good addition to your series!

Considering the number of people on top of that tower, I'm assuming those are not staff and the place gives tours? If so, what a great vantage point for seeing and shooting the surrounding area. I have seen this structure before but don't mind because the architecture, history, and use is quite interesting. It helps, too, when someone gets a nice shot of it and shares it with those who'll never get to Hamburg in their lives (wink, wink).

Very well done, and my thought is what a neat experience it would be to get to the top of the tower for great view. tigs=^..^=

I'm not sure if I had seen it before, but it doesn't matter because it's a wonderful building to view. The houses across the water look great too.
A good addition to your series Raj.
