Thanks! ...you would have found it more amazing if you saw the PARKING LOT where this was taking place. The "landing" ramp was about 15' tall and about 20' long. From the end of the ramp they had about 30' to stop before a chain link fence separating the riders from the crowd. You'll note, from the vantage, I was NOT standing there. In this shot the 3 stunt riders were all in the air at the same time, at various stages of their airborne acrobatics.
A lucky shot from a great event that Quiet and I just happened upon driving by a motorcycle dealer. I should have taken a few pictures of the dropped jaws of the spectators.
wowzer....if you could capture the one in the middle so well, and I am no good or know very little about stop action shots, so forgive my ignorance here, then why aren't the other two in some sort of sharp focus too? They're all about the same distance. *puts ignorance on display for all to enjoy* :( :)PJ
PJ, the photo posted is the resulte of a bit of artistic license.
The other two were in focus. I blurred them out, post camera, to draw attention to the single rider while retaining the context and tricks performed by the other riders. I believed "the shot" was in the stunt being performed, not the one completed nor the one coming. Just the same, to have 3 in the air was a pretty good shot.
Such was my interpretation. I'm aways up for suggestions though!
