This gentleman (actor) was recounting tales from the 1600's outside his house in Plimoth Plantation, Plymouth Massachusetts. Greeting all with the hint of a Britsh accent with "what do you hear from home?" Pure charm.
ooh, portraits - my very favorite! You captured the mood very well on this actor, Rob, and his right hand coming up just leads you right back to his face. Wonderful!! - Patty
They certainly know how to set a mood at this Plantation. I've been there and this is exactly how it looks and feels. I think you captured the feel of it very well. I like how the man's face is all in shadow under the brim of his hat and his look of concentration is something they do so convincingly there. The touch of lace collar with the handkerchief in his hand add a little balacing color of white from side to side, as does the backdrop with the light tan color of what looks like a pole or other contrivance they have set up there to show you what life was like back in those early days of the Pilgrims. His hat and shirt set off his bearded face in a pleasing manner and he's just slightly off center which always creates a lot of interest. Wonderful job :)PJ
Seeds of contentment bring harvests of peace. Always glad to see visitors at My Gallery and thanks for your continued kind words and constant support. Anita
Pure charm image. Well done. Gave it a 10. I really like the macho character holding a very feminine looking kerchief with tatted edging. The lovely lighting with the shadows on his face are very effective. Love the textural details. Excellent close shot. anne :-)
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
