Wonderful texture, color and subject Rob. The hard, jagged rock face, the soft whisps of grasses which thrive on so little and the manmade rusty chain all create a certain nuance of mystery and intrigue. Good eye and thanks for sharing. anne :-)

Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)

colocolor is having a hot night for commenting and I'm lucky to be riding in the rear and picking up some of the pieces that I see. I used to live in the desert and there were places..rocky places..like this where snakes used to hide their nests, and that's the first thing I thought of when I saw this in thumbnail...of course full blown it was evident what was really happening, but even then it was hard to shake that feeling...if you've ever seen a nest of vipers you'll know what I'm talking about....technically how can I argue with a pic that sends me out on flights of fancy like I just experienced....art in its finest form..great job :)PJ

I found this chain, undisturbed for years I'm sure. It was found in a place that it would otherwise not belong, therefore an oddity worthy of capture. I found the combinations of rust, shape, rock, ice and willowy weeds interesting for the eye and curious for the camera. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
