Hello Rob. I've enjoyed your series, and saved all your images to my Aircraft folder on my HD. It sure looks like you had fun checking out all the vintage birds. This is an awesome photo. I like the padded dashboard. =) Needs one of those dancing hula girl bobble dolls. LOL. Looks like the cockpit of a B-29? Hmmmm.... a real tough one. Hey....wheres the radio?
Hey Randy, glad you liked the shots. They are but a few of many taken during a short trip through the PIMA Air and Space Museum in Tucson. I did not know of this museum and literally noticed it driving by. It was the Super Guppy that caught my eye from the road and caused me to make a prompt U-turn and tour the outstanding facilities.
I laughed when I saw the padded dashboard too!
I wish that I was able get the overhead console too. It was an impressive array of instrumentation.
This shot is not from a B-29.
Hint ... it's a retired Air Force 1 aircraft used by JFK and Johnson and the last propeller driven aircraft to be designated AF1.

Well, I would never be able to guess what kind of aircraft this was but it's a fascinating on-the-spot look at the interior and controls of one very impressive bird and I know my son who has always liked planes will enjoy this one...great shot Rob and thanks for sharing.:Pat.
