It takes talent to operate a sawmill... some of it hard to come by.

Makes me shiver to see that old saw. I certainly hope he's got the talent you spoke of..Lively pic of an old machine made useful again!! :)

Good action shot showing concentration of the operator using the old saw.

This shot is well balanced and the focus is perfect on the old timer's face. I love his beard. great job.

Nice internal tension in this one. Being mechanically inept, I wouldn't have known this was a saw, or, now that I do know, I do not know what part of the saw I am seeing! What I do see is an old-fashioned man in a modern time. He is wearing modern gloves, but his shirt, pants and leather vest could go back 100 years, not to mention his beard and pocket watch. In contrast, we have that yellow helmet and very modern-looking sunglasses. All in all, this is an interesting photo, one that holds your attention. The only nit-pic I have is that I wish the field of view had been 2 inches lower...a bit less of the tree leaves on the top and a bit more of the log and the machine on the bottom might have been a small improvement. Nice east-west location ...good to have both those red posts framing the subject.
