This is one of the roses in my rose beds at our new to us place from last year. She is just one of the roses that was here and needed some TLC. She responded well I think. Her name is Miss All-American Beauty named for Maria Callas famous Opera Singer. Hard to have to wait for this Spring's bloom smiles....

It is a very pretty colour and not what I would expect to be associated with Maria Callas - I would have expected her to be deep burgundy! She had extraordinary talent. And a rather tragic life. The voice of an angel.THIS was the first record I ever bought - and then I fell in love with opera :)
