Hey I thought I would put up the color version and let you give me some input on which you think is better... B&W has been a project of mine lately but I still like color also... What do you think of the Tahquamenon Falls?
In this case, I like the colored version so much better. The colors are simple, just greens and greys with a spot of orange... Very attractive, and soothing to the eyes... Well done.
Oh definitely much better in color all the way. I love the myst from the waterfall and the trees are so crisp. And your gallery is very nice, I really like the wide range of subjects you shoot. Great scene, I'd love to be there!
I think that the black and white version of this image what better looking and gave you have more crisper view. I like this one aswell but not as much as the first one. Great work

I didn't see the black and white version but I think it's best in color in this case. Looking at the water just as it goes over the edge of the falls, the viewer can see a amber color to the water. I visited here in 2001 and the water is gold in color from a resin that local upstream trees deposit in the water. You'd never see that in a b&w. Did you also get a shot from the two observation decks? One on the edge of the falls and the other downstream at the bottom of a huge set of pigtail stairs?
WOW this is amazing. I can almost hear the roar of the water and smell the nice, fresh air! I have to say, I love color, so it's this version hands down for me! Just a personal preference, both are super.
