A worn Gas station in a small village. Photo taken a late Saturday night when I was on my way home and needed some gas for my car.

All comments are most welcome. I thank you in advance for taking the time. Always greatly appreciated! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Has a very dark and eerie feel about it. Reminds me of something I saw on a horror movie once. A great b/W!

Susanne - Do I want gas for the car or chocolate for my sweet tooth? Hmm. This is well done in b/w. There is an edginess to the tone of the scene, with darkness used very effectively. I like it! Thad

I didn't see it in the B/W contest Susanne. I think it would make a great entry.

Very nice composition and B&W work. Good lighting as a nightshot.

A wonderful B & W, Susanne. I like the darker contrasts & as mentioned already the image does convey a feeling of eeriness. Nice use of lighting too. Very well done.

A very interesting b/w with lots of neat detail. I like looking it over to see all the subtle contrasts and the novelty of the scene..

Marvelous exposure, Susanne! You've created a wonderful oasis of light amidst the impenetrable darkness. Even the many fluorescent lights can't completely overcome the shadows. The B&W creates a dark and gritty feel to the scene, and even though the lights are on, it feels as if no one is there. Well done!

Something about it reminds me of Edward Hoppers Nighthawks. A sort of oasis in the dark feel. A great combination of grit, grain and detail
