I liked the look of the shadowless winter light and calm water.
Some Barrow's Goldeneye floating by some concrete columns left over from what was once a dock for a cement plant. The reflections you see from the top of the columns are bird houses that fill with dozens of barn swallows every spring. The original cement quarry is now the Butchart Gardens.
This would be a good entry for the current contest.
Clever title by the way.
