Fires ravaging the BC interior reminded me of a trip long ago to Chasm Provincial Park near Clinton, BC (closed currently due to fire hazard). Glacial erosion carved out an 8km long, 600m wide and 300m deep chasm, exposing lava flows beneath.

Oh, boy-oh-boyo, is this cool or what? Another addition to my bucket list (if our guards at the Canadian border stop strip-searching and realize that Canadians are our best friends, that is). Dropping it into my favorites file so I remember the place. Thanks Wayne.

A wonderful and captivating scene Wayne. I have found that when I take nature photos that when it's cloudy works best because the brightness of the sun washes a lot of clarity out of the image.....although, I can only guess that someone who is a better photographer then me can overcome that. Anyway, you're timing was perfect:):)
