When I look at a picture like this, I marvel at the sophisticated physical mechanics and optics that play out instant by instant, maybe requiring some time on a supercomputer to simulate just for this one little area. Given the number of beaches on earth, I wonder how many times this exact pattern appears. A few times a day, never? Perhaps some would say it is only there when it is being observed.

A unique idea to capture this scene, and the result is mind boggling, perfect result, clarity, light, etc. Most of all the originality of it ... favorite.

The refraction of sunlight through those ripples, Wayne, makes for a beautifully variegated pattern of shapes and hues of the color of the sand below. Zooming in so all I see is water creates an texture that would confuse most to its identity. It fits the purpose of the Caedes site to a T.
