A beautifully shot tadpole photo won 2024 Wildlife Photographer of the Year award at this little lake on Vancouver Island. Brought up fond memories of a camping trip here years ago, capturing this early morning scene. There is a wonderful short film about these tadpoles also taken on a Vancouver Island lake, search - The Big Little Migration.

Wayne, a somewhat mysterious image, because of the early morning mist, but fascinating and moody as well. Your vantage point was very well chosen. Gives this wonderful shot a 'bird's eye capture' appearance!
