To be honest I wasn't going to post this one as I thought the detail was a bit washed out due to the brightness, but the other photo seemed quite popular so I thought people might appreciate it.

More images and prints available in my Deviant art and Redbubble galleries.

i'm not really seeing any washed out detail - the focus seams to me at least - to be right where it should be. I like the partial crop too - suits the desktop format better.

Well, it is a little washed out but still a lot of detail in the white. The yellow center really is what grabs the eye. It is so unusual in shape and well focused. It is most worthy of posting. Nice.

I think the heart of the matter, and the focus, is the central yellow pod and that, along with it's frilly anthers (I guess they are anthers) are certainly quite clear and that seems to be what your intent was, so it doesn't matter that the petals are softer in appearance. Another lovely floral from you.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

the focus is on the yellow heart, which is looking gorgeous, and the white is not 100% clear but I like that because this flower is for romance and so on:)) so that is oke, into my favs

I love this! Though I do find the closest white petal that sticks out is a little distracting. But I don't see any washed out detail!!! And by the way, your website design is awesome!

I think it's lovely! I would call the color 'soft' and not 'washed out'. Thanks for sharing this with us.
