This is not an orchid of course, but a ginger flower. There was a whole other garden dedicated to gingers, but unfortunately I didn't have time for much of a look.

This is perfect focus! The lighting is terrific as well. Such a wonderful post. I like this one, photographically speaking, the best so far, but the flowers have been so uniquely beautiful.

After a bit of an absence, partly vacation but mostly tax season...busy for bookkeeping businesses... I'm glad to be back out here with at least 'some' regularity. I've missed everyone and am glad to have a little more time again.

Actually, this is a banana flower-close to both gingers (Zingiberaceae) and Costus (Costaceae).
