This is the first of the images I am uploading from my trip to New Zealand. I am going to try and upload something from each area we visited... New Zealand is very different from Australia although they are neighbors; the landscape changes dramatically within relatively small distances, from farmland to mountains to rainforest to beach to desert... I went quite mad with the camera as you can imagine. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate for some of the trip; but there are benefits even to bad weather, as I got to see dramatic waterfalls and we had fresh snow fall on the mountaintops for the first time since last winter (it is early Autumn here for you northern hemispherers...) and even though it was overcast when we drove through the alps from Christchurch to the west coast, it certainly adds to the atmosphere in this shot. This was taken from a moving car, as were hundreds of others... but this one turned out OK despite that fact...
