This was a lookout just before the descent down to Arrow and Queenstown. Once again I am going by the map but I am pretty sure the mountain is called Double Cone. If anyone thinks it's worth it I might try and remove the shadow on the right which was being cast by a memorial pillar.

What a wonderful sky, Sam... The lone tree looks like a very good focal point too. Well done!

There is always something so special about lone weathered tree like this. They endure such weather of all kinds. And the shape this tree is growing in makes it very inviting for taking a photograph, especially with such a great background.I wouldnt even worry bout that shadow on the right. This is such a lovely photo Sam. Thank you. Verena

Very dramatic capture! I found my self so focused on the tree and the sky that I didn't even notice the shadow...
Beautiful.

This is quite spectacular Sam ! I agree with Pierre, the sky with this awesome blue gradation really makes a wonderful background for this beautiful lonely tree

I love that lone tree-looks wind whipped. I would have removed the shadow-easy enough to do. Beautiful capture.
