One can never tire of beauty like this Opie. I hope you don't get in trouble for Heron Stalkin'. I think they have relaxed the laws, but they will put you in a data base. I think it is called the permanent gallery. Great post and so clear.
Another great capture of the green Heron Paul. When i tire of your bird images i go to sleep for 6 hours then wake up an enjoy them for 18 more hours. Faved
Thanks for sharing
As for me, please keep them coming ... after all these years I never tire of good, and interesting photography, and here it is. Another one to add to my favourites. Keep it up.
A perfect close up! Just look at the details in those feathers. Paul, I'm not bored at all! I did know there were Green Herons till these postings. =^..^= sandi ♪
I think it's wonderful you keep seeing him. I keep going back to the swamp to see the "little blues", but only seen them one other time. Love the details here.
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By.
Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
I never get tired of seeing this type of picture. You do excellent work with them. Super work on this one, Paul. You always have them in such good focus.
Oh crap, another bird image. I am so sick and tired of bird images. Even tho I post oodles of them myself.........
sheesh. Sut up and keep posting your birdies. As long as they are good, who cares?

I notice where I live there seem to be way more birds this year. All kinds. I love the Herons. This is so kewl, how the Heron actually blends with the scenery, but I noticed one thing, and that is that you have a small "merger" here. It's the one grass just behind him, making it look like it is growing from the top of his head...:) I love his colour.Verena
What a great shot of this beautiful bird. He looks great in that lush green vegetation. I never tire of seeing a wonderful capture of our feathered friends.
