My favorite Green Heron spotting his lunch and ready for the strike.

I hope you are not tiring of the bird images. It seems to be the only thing that changes constantly in my part of the world lately.

One can never tire of beauty like this Opie. I hope you don't get in trouble for Heron Stalkin'. I think they have relaxed the laws, but they will put you in a data base. I think it is called the permanent gallery. Great post and so clear.

Another great capture of the green Heron Paul. When i tire of your bird images i go to sleep for 6 hours then wake up an enjoy them for 18 more hours. Faved

I think it's wonderful you keep seeing him. I keep going back to the swamp to see the "little blues", but only seen them one other time. Love the details here.

I notice where I live there seem to be way more birds this year. All kinds. I love the Herons. This is so kewl, how the Heron actually blends with the scenery, but I noticed one thing, and that is that you have a small "merger" here. It's the one grass just behind him, making it look like it is growing from the top of his head...:) I love his colour.Verena
