Another "sunlight streaming in through a window" picture. Although this is a very simple shot I like the pattern of light and shade... Queen's Head, St Austell, 17th May '04.
Good eye for a good photo Simon! This is a great use of light to capture an object at the right moment. Love the reflection on the wall. Good all around job! Thank you
This came up in my voting booth this morning & I wanted you to know how much I love this shot. I had already DL this months ago, the stark simplicity of this shot really appealed to me. The pattern of light & shadow is both striking & compelling & a 10 from me. Well done Simon !

I'm not sure how I missed this beauty but I did until it came up in the booth. It's my favorite kind of image, a study of light and shadow. High marks both places.
Hello Si...Simple shots are the best and thats what photography is all about....You have captured the right amount of light to create the shadows...I must say this is a fantastic picture....I keep going back to look at it...Bonus points from me mate...All the best ...Mick.
Appending tp my previous comment which was a little terse ...
I am a big fan of light/shadow contrasts and that is why i llike this shot so much. The texture of the wood against the plain wall enhances thewhole thing.
Okay, I have to admit it was the title that cought me first. I'm a pun-loving person:-) Really nice composition too. I like the right-left diagonal and the creative use of negetive space.
