I love it dark so this is right up my alley. I like the way this is layered, the sheen of the water, then the black of the forest, the deep red on the horizon, the blue cloud strip then the paler lemon sky at the top. It is lovely and smooth in texture though it might also be a wee bit soft, perhaps you decided one was more important than the other?
Beautiful sunset photo, Steve. I hate hot summer days, but this is not seem like a summer day here. Clouds adds very interesting and dramatic effects to sunset photos, as just like in yours.
Such vibrant shades of red near dusk Steve, it will make a lot of sailors happy ...A+++ and fave ++++++++++++ Red sky at night, sailors delight. When we see a red sky at night, this means that the setting sun is sending its light through a high concentration of dust particles. This usually indicates high pressure and stable air coming in from the west. Basically good weather will follow.
The silhouetted skyline is lovely against the vibrant sky and reflection Steve. The image has great depth and draws me right into the scene. Top image :)
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
